“In September of 2007, I joined NSA Wisconsin and enrolled in Speaker U to improve my speaking skills and to learn about the business of professional speaking.  My experience was amazingly beneficial: I improved my platform skills and developed two new keynotes, one on productivity and one on stress-reduction; I learned about creating a business identity (I selected Your Mind on Media as my company name); I developed a new web site and blog; I learned about bookings and contracts, marketing and  ethics, among many other facets of the business.  I benefited from the wisdom, role-modeling and feedback of Speaker U Guru Eliz Greene, from the wise counsel of the many guest presenters at our sessions, from the input of my co-classmates, and from the many wonderful professional development seminars that NSA Wisconsin presented over that period of time. NSA Wisconsin Speaker U curriculum…

Interactive Seminars: Six two-hour sessions with outstanding guest lecturers including…

Master Mind Sessions: Each Interactive Seminar will be followed by a group discussion session to sort through the information and determine your action items. These sessions develop a support system within the Speaker U Class and provide accountability.

Live Platform Coaching: Constructive feedback from professional speaker to help you improve your presentation and content.

Video Day: Create a professional 15-minute video for your marketing.

Dynamic Independent Study Materials: Continue your learning between Interactive Seminars.

Support and Mentoring: Your Dean of Students and mentors are available outside of course time to answer your questions and guide you through the journey into the speaking profession.

Thesis Project: Every member of the Speaker U Class is expected to be working toward completing the qualifications for becoming a professional member of NSA.

Graduation: Class members who have completed the course work and thesis will be celebrated at the June meeting each year.

Payment plans are available. Those who are unable to complete the course in 12 to 18 months may continue for an additional fee.  Interested in checking the program out? You may audit one Speaker U class for $25. This fee will be applied to Speaker U tuition cost if person joins NSA-WI and enrolls in Seaker U within one year.
